01 Peanut

In Week 32 (August 4-8, 2025), the national average price of peanuts was 8,825 yuan/ton. The prices for peanuts by region are shown in the table below:

Weekly Review:

Peanut prices remained stable this week. The common purchase price for new-season peanuts in Jiangxi Province was around 4.8-4.85 yuan. The mainstream price for Baisha aged peanuts (8-grid sieve-grade) in Northeast China and Henan Provinces was around 4.6 yuan. The mainstream price for miscellaneous peanuts (8-grid sieve-grade) in Henan Province was around 4.55 yuan. Most actual transactions were based on negotiation. Domestic peanut supply has entered a transition phase between old and new seasons. Old-season peanut inventories are gradually being depleted, albeit at a slow pace. Traders are more willing to sell and are reducing prices. The quality of old-season peanuts varies widely, with lower-quality sources experiencing significant price reductions, while higher-quality sources remain relatively resilient. Food factories are cautious in their peanut purchasing, with low operating rates and limited purchases of raw peanuts.

It is expected that the supply of new-season peanuts will gradually increase in the short term, while demand for peanuts will remain stable. Overall, with supply increasing and demand unlikely to improve significantly, prices may face downward pressure. Of course, we also need to pay attention to the subsequent impact of weather on the quality and yield of the new peanut crop.

02 Peanut Oil

For Week 32 (August 4-8, 2025), the national average price of peanut oil was 15,900 yuan/ton. Reference prices are as follows:

Weekly Review:

Domestic prices for both regular peanut oil and small-pressed fragrant peanut oil remained stable this week. Peanut oil demand is currently weak, but rising international oil prices and tight peanut oil supply are supporting the market price. The overall peanut oil market remains on the sidelines, and is expected to remain stable next week, awaiting the peak season.
