01 Sunflower
Week 51 (December 15-19, 2025): Domestic sunflower prices remained relatively stable this week. Specific regional prices are as follows:

Weekly Review:
The domestic sunflower market operated smoothly overall this week. Currently, sunflower supply is tight and transactions are sluggish. On the supply side, due to transportation restrictions, the amount of sunflower arriving at ports is limited, resulting in an overall tight supply, which is beneficial to the sunflower market. On the demand side, the market is mainly driven by restocking for rigid demand, with traders adopting a wait-and-see attitude, leading to weak demand and negatively impacting the sunflower market. During the same period, the sales speed of sunflower kernels was also relatively slow, with little price change.
It is expected that sunflower prices will remain stable in the short term (January-February), mainly due to the combined effects of restricted imports and weak demand. The New Year's Day and Spring Festival holidays may accelerate sales, leading to a supply shortage and potentially driving up sunflower prices.
02 Sunflower Oil
Week 51 (December 15-19, 2025): The average domestic sunflower seed oil price this week was 11,875 yuan/ton. Specifically, the price of Grade 1 sunflower seed oil in Jiangsu was 12,400 yuan/ton; in Xinjiang, it was 11,300 yuan/ton; in Tianjin, it was 12,400 yuan/ton; and in Shanghai, it was 12,350 yuan/ton. Prices in each region are as follows:

Weekly Review:
This week, the domestic sunflower seed oil market remained relatively stable. Prices in Tianjin rose slightly but then returned to 12,400 yuan/ton due to slow sales. Sunflower seed oil is arriving at ports, but transportation disruptions have limited domestic arrivals, resulting in continued tight supply at ports and supporting the sunflower seed oil market. The weak domestic market for the three major edible oils, coupled with the high price of sunflower seed oil, has led to a significant substitution effect, limiting the potential for further price increases. However, demand was boosted by the New Year's Day and Spring Festival holidays, accelerating sales in the sunflower oil market and benefiting the overall market.
Sunflower seed oil prices are expected to rise in the short term. Domestic sales are accelerating, while imports are declining. Traders are holding firm on prices and reluctant to sell, and overseas markets are showing an upward trend. Therefore, the tight supply and demand situation in the short term is supporting price increases.
